Tendring District Council’s share of council tax will rise next year by an average of £5 if an outline budget is approved in February.
For a Band D property, that would mean that the council’s share would rise from £177.64 to £182.64, roughly 10% of the overall council tax bill, the lion’s share of which – around 73% – goes to Essex County Council with the remainder funding police, fire and town council services.
