Brightlingsea Museum – which only reopened in at the end of May as Covid restrictions lifted – welcomed its 1,000th visitor on Saturday, July 24. The landmark came as Maud Scase from Clacton visited the Station Road building with her granddaughter, grandson-in-law and great-grandchildren.
The museum is currently open from 10am to 5pm on Saturdays, 2-4pm on Sundays and, until the end of August, 2-5pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays, but news of additional opening hours is expected soon.
