Brightlingsea Town Council has given permission for the Brightlingsea Food and Drink Festival to take place on land near the Lido from August 27-29. Given the uncertainty surrounding events because of the pandemic, the organisers say there may be fewer stalls than in previous years, but are hoping to run an evening-only event on the Friday.
