Tendring Council is to install bigger rubbish bins around the district’s seafronts – including Brightlingsea. Complaints about overflowing bins were common last summer and the council’ waste contractor, Veolia, has hired two more vehicles for seafront collections with a increased capacity. However, the council says it’s often not practical to empty bins at busy times of the day, so the message is to take litter home if bins are full.
