A plan to build a two-bedroomed house on land at 6 Ladysmith Avenue, Brightlingsea, has been submitted to Tendring District Council.

The proposal says that the applicants, Mr & Mrs Taylor – who live at No 6 – want to downsize and move to the new property, which would contain guest/carer accommodation on the first floor. A previous application for the site was rejected on appeal, but the applicants say the new plan – which would involve the demolition of an existing double garage –   has been modified so that it is more in keeping with neighbouring properties and makes better use of the available land.
