Councils resume 'real' meetings as Covid restrictions ease
Meetings of Brightlingsea Town and Tendring District councillors will no longer be held online, after the emergency legislation allowing virtual meetings expired.
Town meetings will be held in the Parish Hall again, though to keep numbers down members of the public will be asked to ‘book a seat’ and proceedings will still be broadcast via Zoom.
Most Tendring meetings will once again be held in the Princes Theatre at Clacton Town Hall, though the council is encouraging members of the public to follow meetings via its live stream on Facebook in order to reduce the number of people in the building.
