The NHS has launched a new campaign on TikTok aimed at counteracting the potentially harmful untruths and misinformation circulating on social media about COVID-19 vaccinations.
The campaign launch coincides with next week’s start of walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics specifically for young people aged 12 – 15, and the continued push for those eligible for a booster vaccination or a first or second dose to take up the offer.
Family doctor, Dr Ashley Moore and pharmacist Natasha Jones, who both in the Suffolk and North East Essex region and are experienced vaccinators, have each choreographed and performed their own #NHS grooves which can be seen by clicking here and here.
From Monday October 25 a series of walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinics for young people aged 12 – 15 years will begin operating at locations across north east Essex. Young people can turn up to receive their vaccination with no appointment needed.Locations and times for the walk-in clinics, along with FAQs and other useful information can be found here.
It is hoped the TikTok videos will encourage people to ignore the many dubious sources of COVID-19 information and seek information from an NHS health professional if they have any questions.
