Fishery protection authority gains new patrol boat

The new RIB in Brightlingsea Creek

A new fast patrol boat for the the Kent and Kent and Essex Inshore Fisheries and Conservation Authority will be based in Brightlingsea.

Operating from the authority’s base on the Shipyard Estate, the 7.8m Ribcraft-built RIB will be used for general patrol and fishery protection operations.

Powered by twin 175hp outboards, the boat has been built to spend long periods at sea and and features a large console with ample weather protection, shock mitigating seats and a comprehensive suite of navigation instruments suite.
