Colne Yacht Club is once again proud to support International Women’s Day on Saturday 8th March, by offering a range of excellent talks and stalls to encourage women to take on bigger challenges in their lives and share their success.
This year we are honoured to welcome the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Lorna Rolfe JP DL MA, as our Key Note Speaker, as she describes her journey from Scotland to take up her important duties for the King.
We will also have inspirational talks from women who have overcome living with narcolepsy to run their own business or take on the phenomenal Camino Trail, while others have taken up caving at 70, raised phenomenal sums for charity, supported women with legal issues and shaped the reputations of major companies. As ever, you will also get to hear about the Club’s latest endeavours for Women on the Water and hear first hand from a young female apprentice now working at the Harbour.
We also welcome stall holders who run local business, sports and charity groups that you may wish to know more about.
Entry is free. Refreshments are available all day. Do join us if you can. Full programme on Colne Yacht Club face book page & website.
