Brightlingsea vaccination rollout moves on to group 6
As of Tuesday, February 23, 3,675 people who are registered with Brightlingsea's Colne Medical Centre had received their first dose of either the Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccine.
The Station Road practice said people in group 5 – aged 65-69 – can book appointments by calling 119 and added that it has started to issue vaccination invitations to people in group 6 – those aged 16 to 65 years with an underlying medical condition and registered carers. Staff are continuing to make efforts to contact those in groups 1-4 who have not yet booked a vaccination.
The number of people vaccinated includes those who have received a jab at any of the sites in the area – not just at the Brightlingsea surgery.
