We will remember them – a screenshot from the video feed of Brightlingsea's Remembrance Sunday service

Brightlingsea remembers – in person and online

Brightlingsea residents marked Remembrance Sunday in person and, for the first time, online, in a ceremony around the town's war memorial.

Attendance at the 11am service – conducted by the Rev. Caroline Beckett – was much reduced owing to Covid-19 restrictions, which also prevented the usual parade from taking place. However, many residents heeded advice to mark the occasion at home and were able to follow the event live via an online video stream.
