The Brightlingsea Lunch Club is more than 50 years old – but now it’s looking for new members.

The men’s group’s meets every other Friday in the Cherry Tree pub. As well as boosting friendship, the club aims to support local charities and has raised thousands of pounds for local organisations including Brightlingsea in Bloom, Brightlingsea Food Bank, The Autumn Centre, Brightlingsea Lido, Brightlingsgsea 4-Youth, Brightlingsea Carnival, The Edward Sycamore Trust and many others.

At one point there were more than 40 members, but over recent years membership has declined.

Club member Terry Luckhurst said: “Join us for an informal home cooked lunch, a drink and a good chat. There is no commitment to come to every lunch, just as and when you can.”

If you’re interested, call Terry on 01206 305911 or email [email protected]
