With local elections on May 4, we wanted to know what Brightlingsea’s candidates for town and district councils think is important – and why we should vote for them.
So we set up an online ‘hustings’ asking all the candidates for Brightlingsea Town Council and District Council the same questions.
They included asking what they think are the most pressing issues in the town, what would most improve it – and what they would do to make things better.
We did our best to track down all of the candidates, but – despite our best efforts, some remained elusive.
You can access the statements of all of those who responded on this page. Hopefully you’ll find them enlightening – and please remember to vote next week.
