Tendring District Council – TDC – has begun a consultation on the future of Brightlingsea Sports Centre.
Both users and non-users of the centre – located in the grounds of the Colne Community School – are being asked to share their opinions to help the council plan facilities and future investment. A similar exercise is also being carried out in Harwich.
Alex Porter, TDC cabinet member for leisure and tourism, said: “We need to provide what people actually want, in the right places and at the right times. This exercise will therefore help us to shape services going forward and decisions on future investment. We want to listen to those who use the site, and find out from those who do not why that is the case, so their views can inform further planning.”
