Town’s fantasy football league to benefit local good causes

Fantasy football in Brightlingsea - how AI sees it!

Local good causes are set to benefit from a fantasy football league in Brightlingsea.

Winnings paid from the £10 entry fees for the Brightlingsea Fantasy Premier League will go to a some of the local charities and other worthy causes nominated by fantasy ‘managers’. So far, they include Brightlingsea Regent Football Club, the Alzheimer’s Society, St Helena Hospice, Brightlingsea First Responders, Brightlingsea Nature Network and Brightlingsea Free Music Festival.

Fantasy football sees participants select imaginary teams from the players in a league and score points according to the actual performance of their players.

Brightlingsea town councillor Mat Court has set up the league, with retired accountant Sue Walsh looking after the finances. For more details and to sign up, contact Mat at [email protected] or WhatsApp/message him on 07469 920 470.
