Brightlingsea’s Open Gardens weekend is one of the town’s annual highlights – and there’s still time to include your garden on the trail.

The weekend – which this year takes place on June 15 & 16 – raises thousands of pounds for St Helena Hospice thanks to the work of the Brightlingsea Hospice Support Group and participating gardeners.

The deadline for garden entries is the end of April and to register interests, contact Mary Goggin on 01206-308023.

The group is also holding its second annual golf day on Thursday, July 18 at Five Lakes Golf Club in Tolleshunt Knights. The entry fee of £60 includes 18 holes of golf, range balls, coffee and bacon roll on arrival and a two course evening meal. 2/4 ball and individual players welcome.

For more details and to book, contact Barry Smith on 07885 761210 or email [email protected] by May 15.
