A family fun day will give Brightlingsea residents a chance to see the work thats been carried out at the ‘Old Church’ thanks to a £500,000 grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and funds raised by local supporters.
The work has seen crumbling stonework on All Saints’ Tudor tower renewed, the roof beam replaced and the construction of a new toilet and kitchen extension.
On Saturday, September 30, the church will host a performance by Brightlingsea’s Primary School choir, led by the Motley Crew, a trail of discovery organised by The Arts Society of Colchester, along with nature-based activities and the chance to create your own gargoyle.
Refreshments will be available at the free event, which runs from 11am to 3pm.
