A group of Brightlingsea folk is looking to set up a community shed in the town – a space where people can come to make and mend items, chat and share cares.
So far the Bright Shedders have an offer of a shed, but nowhere to put it. The plan is that the shed will provide a friendly workshop, where people can make things, learn new skills and socialise.
“It will provide a place where everyone can feel included and be safe,” says the group. “Our aim is to support the mental health and well-being of the members and, at the same time, give them opportunities to tackle practical activities and develop skills.”
