Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival returns to its traditional home in All Saints’ Church this weekend – December 9 & 10.
The festival, now in its 20th year, took place in St James’ Church in 2022 while restoration works took place at the town’s ‘Old Church’.
With the restoration work complete – and a new indoor toilet now open – the ancient building will once again be filled with decorated trees made by local residents and organisations.
There will be home-made refreshments on sale, along with gift items, and the church will be filled with music thanks to performances by a wide rance of local musicians. On the Saturday evening there’s a gala performance by female vocal trio Bel Canto (tickets from Little Boat Gifts in New Street) and on Sunday the festival will come to end with Carols with Chris.
The festival will run each day from 10am to 6pm. Parking is very limited, but the festival is running a shuttle bus with stops at St James’ church and Fiveways, where there is ample parking space.
