Brightlingsea Sailing Club member Ed Bridle won the recent International Moth Class French National Championships.
A former junior European and junior national champion in the class, Ed triumphed in the 42 strong fleet – sailing at Quiberon in Brittany – with two firsts, a second and a fifth. Ed’s father, Graham, was 17th.
The singlehanded International Moth ‘flies’ on hydrofoils and can reach speeds in excess of 30mph.
