Brightlingsea High Street is gearing up for the 2022 Christmas Market and Late Night Shopping event.
This year it will be taking place on Friday 2nd December, with the market opening at 2:30pm until 7:30pm and most shops staying open until 8pm.
Santa’s sleigh*, manned by helpers from the Brightlingsea and District Rotary Club, will be parked in the road outside Spirals and Tesco for most of the evening. There’ll be various stalls along the High Street and buskers outside WineWell.
During the afternoon and evening there will also be a Christmas Mini Market in Victoria Gardens, open from 2.30pm to 7.30pm, with stalls selling gifts, foods, artisan gins, craft beers and locally made jams and chutneys. Local shanty group the Motley Crew will be singing traditional wassails from 5.45pm by the fountain.
