An arts project at Brightlingsea Lido features in a new video promoting Essex County Council’s Arts and Cultural Fund.
The Ebb and Flow project had money from the fund and saw ten artworks – created in workshops by Brightlingsea residents under the auspices of the Lido’s artists in residence, Chrissie Richards and Becky Jackson- and placed around the pool perimeter. The fund has also supported Brightlingsea’s Fresh Air Festival.
The latest round of the fund is now open and between £2,500 and £30,000 will be granted to successful applicants for free and low-cost activities, events and exhibitions. A promotional video, showing the lido and including an interview with Chrissie Richards, can be seen here.
ECC says the fund is a key part of the itsEveryone’s Essex and Levelling Up strategies. It has supported people living with dementia, celebrated Essex’s diverse communities and engaged with school age children on themes such as climate change and health and wellbeing.
